Crash Claims Life of 19-Year-Old Motorcyclist in Roseburg
A crash on NW Stewart Parkway Saturday night claimed the life of 19-year-old motorcyclist Zevin Alvarez. Roseburg Police say the driver of a car admitted to running a red light. The investigation remains ongoing.

ROSEBURG, Ore. — A crash Saturday night in Roseburg claimed the life of 19-year-old motorcyclist Zevin Alvarez, according to the Roseburg Police Department.
The collision occurred at the intersection in front of Walmart on NW Stewart Parkway and involved a motorcycle and a sportscar.
Fire personnel were first to arrive and attempted life-saving measures, but Alvarez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the sportscar sustained minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Medical Center. During an interview at the hospital, the driver admitted to running a red light at the intersection. Authorities noted that the driver did not exhibit signs of intoxication.
The incident remains under investigation.
