Local Man Arrested for Alleged Vehicle Trafficking in Oakland Property

Junior Victor Cullison, 28, of Yoncalla, was arrested and charged with multiple felonies after Douglas County Sheriff's deputies discovered a sophisticated vehicle stripping operation on a property in the Oakland area of Lower Crest Road.

Investigators spent a week examining the property between January 13-20, uncovering evidence of multiple stolen vehicles being systematically disassembled. At least seven vehicles were identified as likely stolen, including:

  • Two Honda Civics
  • A Toyota SUV
  • A U-Haul tow-dolly trailer
  • A U-Haul box truck
  • A tow truck

The Douglas County District Attorney's Office filed charges against Cullison, including:

  • Eight counts of possession of stolen vehicles
  • Second-degree theft of Oregon Department of Transportation equipment
  • Trafficking in vehicles with destroyed or altered identification numbers

Deputies conducted extensive investigative work, matching disassembled parts and tracking down vehicle identification numbers that had been deliberately removed.

This arrest comes on the heels of Cullison's previous December arrest, which involved a vehicle pursuit that ended when his motorcycle experienced mechanical difficulties. In that incident, he was charged with attempting to elude police, reckless driving, unlawful firearm possession, and carrying a concealed weapon.

Cullison was arraigned with bail set at $15,000 and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 28. He is currently in Douglas County Jail.
