Beginning Monday, February 10, the Stewart Park Drive Bridge, often called the “Green Bridge,” will be closed to vehicle traffic for rehabilitation work. The closure, which spans the South Umpqua River, is expected to last until Monday, November 3. During this time, the bridge will remain open to pedestrians and bicyclists.

To accommodate the closure, traffic control signs will guide motorists on detour routes. Drivers heading to the south entrance of the Roseburg VA Medical Center can access it via Stewart Parkway, passing through Stewart Park to reach the facility’s entrance just north of the bridge.

The City of Roseburg is asking drivers to exercise patience and caution while traveling near the work zone or through Stewart Park. The Roseburg Public Works Department emphasizes the importance of keeping vehicles away from the construction site to ensure worker safety and to avoid complications, as turning around at either end of the bridge is difficult.
