C&K Market announced Wednesday that its Ray’s Food Place store in Drain will close in late February.
In a news release dated January 14, the employee-owned grocery company said the decision followed “careful consideration” and comes as local grocers face ongoing challenges.
C&K Market President Rocky Campbell said the closure was not an easy decision and thanked the community for its support over the years.
The company said all team members will be offered positions at other Ray’s Food Place locations, and it plans to support employees during the transition.
C&K Market also said customers can continue shopping at nearby Ray’s locations, and that gift cards and loyalty rewards will remain valid at all Ray’s Food Place stores.
C&K Market is based in Medford and operates 39 grocery stores in Oregon and Northern California under the Ray’s Food Place, Shop Smart, and C&K Market banners.
