Monday reached 105°F at the airport, the hottest day of 2025 so far and a new Aug. 11 record (old mark 104° in 2014). Tuesday should top out near 100°, below the 1935 record (106°). Gradual cooling begins Wednesday, with near-normal highs by Thursday.
