Residents of Winston will have an opportunity to sit down with Mayor Christie Knutson this weekend for an informal conversation about local issues, ideas, and the direction of the city.
The next “Coffee with Christie” gathering is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon at Winston City Hall. The casual meet-and-greet format is designed to give community members a relaxed setting to ask questions, share concerns, and hear updates on what’s happening around Winston.
Mayor Knutson has hosted these coffee chats periodically as a way to maintain open lines of communication between city leadership and residents. The events offer a chance for people to talk about everything from ongoing city projects and infrastructure to neighborhood concerns, business development, and community events. There’s no formal agenda—just coffee, conversation, and a chance to connect.
City leaders say the goal is to make local government more accessible and approachable. Whether someone has a specific concern, an idea to share, or simply wants to stay informed, the gathering provides a welcoming space to engage directly with the mayor and other community members.
Residents are encouraged to drop in at any time during the two-hour window. No sign-up is required, and all are welcome.
