Fire crews continue to battle the Dad’s Creek Fire, a fast-moving wildfire that sparked the evening of August 31 near the 30400 block of Lower Cow Creek Road outside Glendale. The blaze has grown to an estimated 130 acres, burning through timber and grass.
Road Closure for Public Safety
The Bureau of Land Management’s Medford District has issued a temporary closure of Cow Creek Road from the Ruben Historic Site to its intersection with Dad’s Creek. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has issued a Level 1 “Be Ready” evacuation notice for homes along Lower Cow Creek Road between 30482 and 31302. Residents in this area are urged to:
