Douglas County Fair Receives Six Western Fairs Association Awards
The Douglas County Fair received six 2025 Achievement Awards from the Western Fairs Association, including two first-place honors. Awards recognized advertising, photography and promotional efforts. The 2026 fair is scheduled for Aug. 5–8 in Roseburg.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — The Douglas County Fair has received six Achievement Awards for 2025 from the Western Fairs Association (WFA), recognizing the fair’s work in communications, marketing and event promotion.
The annual WFA awards program includes fairs across the western United States and Canada and highlights programs and projects in areas such as competitive exhibits, agriculture and outreach.
In total, the Douglas County Fair received two first-place awards, two second-place awards and two third-place awards.
“The Douglas County Fair’s success is a testament to the hard work of staff, volunteers, and community partners. Receiving six WFA Achievement Awards is a tremendous honor and a point of pride for Douglas County,” said Douglas County Commissioner and Board Chair Tom Kress.
The fair received honors in the following categories:
- Food & Beverage Photo: 1st Place
- Radio Ad: 1st Place
- Television Ad: 2nd Place
- Dougy’s 60th Birthday Celebration : 2nd Place
- Fair Logo: 3rd Place
- Fair Advertising Poster: 3rd Place
“We are honored to be recognized once again by the Western Fairs Association for our excellence and innovation. It takes a great team and a great community, and we share these honors with them,” said Ciera Keith, director of the Douglas County Fair.
The Western Fairs Association’s Achievement Awards program is designed to recognize successful ideas and share them among member fairs throughout the region.
“The Douglas County Fair achieved outstanding success in our annual Achievement Awards Program. We are delighted to have the Douglas County Fair as a valued member of the Western Fairs Association and are incredibly proud of their accomplishments,” said Western Fairs Association President and CEO Sarah Cummings.
The 2026 Douglas County Fair is scheduled for Aug. 5–8 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Roseburg and will carry the theme “Fair Fun & Freedom.”
