Hundreds to even thousands gathered downtown for Roseburg’s 70th Annual Veterans Day Parade, featuring veterans groups, bands, scouts, fire departments, and community organizations honoring local service members and celebrating seven decades of tradition.
ROSEBURG — Hundreds of people lined the streets of downtown Roseburg on Monday to celebrate the 70th Annual Veterans Day Parade, a long-standing community tradition honoring local service members and veterans.
Participants marched along Jackson and Main Streets, including veterans groups, marching bands, Boy Scouts, car clubs, cheerleaders, fire departments, local businesses, elected officials, county commissioners, law enforcement officers, and other community representatives.
Families bundled in coats and waved small flags as classic cars and military vehicles carried veterans representing multiple generations.
Schools and civic organizations also joined the procession. Marching bands and cheer squads provided the event’s musical accompaniment.
Parade participants handed out small American flags, candy, and stickers to people along the route.
As the 70th year of this proud Roseburg tradition came to a close, the parade served as a reminder of the strength, service, and unity that continue to define our community, and the gratitude owed to every veteran who has worn the uniform.
