JosephJane Winery Announces Final Weekend as Owners Retire, Vineyard Estate Now for Sale

JosephJane Winery, a well loved Roseburg destination known for wood fired pizza, live music nights, and locally crafted wines, has announced it will close after its final sales weekend on December 13 and 14. The family owned winery shared the news with customers this week, thanking the community for many years of support and confirming that the owners are retiring and will not reopen in the spring.

The winery will be open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on both remaining days. All wine cases are 50 percent off, including mixed cases. Mini bottles of Bandit’s Red Blend and Lavender Essence are also half price and are popular as stocking stuffers. Several wines are still available on tap, including Riesling, Sparkling Tay’s Rose, Red Blend, and Nouveau, all at half price by the glass or by growler fill. Glassware and remaining apparel are also discounted. Beer has officially sold out.

The owners expressed gratitude to supporters who helped make JosephJane Winery a community gathering spot over the years. They noted that the property is for sale and said they hope future owners will continue the traditions of good wine, live music, and community events.

The private vineyard estate connected to the winery is also on the market. The 5658 square foot home and vineyard at 161 Lower Garden Valley Road was recently featured in an open house by LaMonte Real Estate Professionals. The estate is offered at 1,099,900 dollars and includes a working vineyard, sweeping valley views, and a barn suitable for events or wine production. The property includes three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half bath.

As the community prepares to say goodbye to JosephJane Winery, many hope new owners will keep the vineyard’s legacy alive and continue the experiences that made it a favorite destination in the Umpqua Valley.
