Peace at Home Announces 15th Annual EMPOWER Dance & Vocal Fundraiser in Douglas County

The 15th annual EMPOWER Dance & Vocal Fundraising Event will take place later this month in Douglas County, supporting services for survivors of domestic and sexual violence through Peace at Home.

The main event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 28 at 5:30 p.m. at Seven Feathers Casino Resort. The program will feature dance and vocal performances by local participants focused on themes of empowerment, resilience, and community strength.

Peace at Home reports serving more than 1,200 survivors in Douglas County each year through advocacy, education, and prevention services.

This year’s fundraiser includes a $25,000 donation match provided through the Crane Creek Family Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation. The match applies to donations committed during the event’s paddle raise.

A pre-show event is also planned for Feb. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Winston Community Center, offering an additional opportunity for community members to attend performances connected to the fundraiser.

The Feb. 28 event will include a buffet dinner, live performances, honorary advocate awards, and dancing following the program. Attendance is limited to guests 21 and older, and cocktail attire is encouraged.
