Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights Returns for 32nd Year

ROSEBURG, Ore. — A beloved Douglas County holiday tradition is set to shine once again as the 32nd annual Umpqua Valley Festival of Lights opens Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, at River Forks Park. The drive-through light display will run nightly through Jan. 1, 2026, beginning each evening at 5:30 p.m.

Launched by the Roseburg Rotary Club in 1993, the festival has grown to feature over half a million lights and more than 90 displays, drawing roughly 25,000 visitors each year and generating thousands of dollars for Rotary scholarships and community service projects.

For $10 per car, visitors can enjoy the attractions that have made the event famous, including the World’s Largest Nutcracker and the Dutch Bros Holiday Village, which returns to its original location at River Forks Park.

Admission to the light display also includes free entry to the Dutch Bros Holiday Village inside Helleck Hall, open Dec. 5 through Jan. 1 on Thursdays through Sundays, with an extra night on Wednesday, Dec. 24.

The Holiday Village will feature Santa Claus, the Dancing Lights display, an updated model railroad, and decorated Christmas trees. Families can write letters to Santa and enjoy hot chocolate, cider, and treats in a cozy, festive setting.

Several sponsor-supported free nights are also planned, giving thousands of visitors the chance to enjoy the experience at no cost.
