Roseburg Man Arrested on Felony Assault Charge
Roseburg Police arrested Justin Jones early Saturday on felony assault charges after he allegedly admitted to kicking a woman in the ribs. The victim reported difficulty breathing and feared broken ribs. Jones is held without bail at Douglas County Corrections.
Roseburg Man Arrested for Felony Strangulation
A 50-year-old Roseburg man, Royce Morgan, was arrested Sunday for felony strangulation, assault, and menacing after allegedly choking a woman and threatening to kill her. He is being held without bail at Douglas County Corrections.
Though Fall Is Here, Fire Season Is Not Over
Though fall has arrived, fire season is not over. ODF warns fuels remain dry, east winds elevate risk, and most of Oregon is still at moderate to high fire danger. Debris burning is prohibited until season-ending rains arrive.
Restrictions Decrease for Public and Industry
DFPA has lowered fire restrictions: Public Use is now Level LOW and IFPL reduced to Level 1 across the Douglas District. Debris burning remains prohibited. More at www.dfpa.net
