DINT Arrests Myrtle Creek Man in Roseburg Drug Investigation

DINT detectives arrested 38-year-old Chet Evans of Myrtle Creek in Roseburg after finding suspected fentanyl, meth residue, and weapons. Evans faces drug and weapons charges and remains in custody on a Lane County probation detainer.

DINT Arrests Myrtle Creek Man in Roseburg Drug Investigation

ROSEBURG, Ore. — Detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) arrested a Myrtle Creek man Wednesday morning after observing suspected drug activity in Roseburg.

Around 9:45 a.m. on Nov. 5, detectives saw possible drug activity near Northeast Casper Avenue and Northeast Odell Avenue. With assistance from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, investigators detained 38-year-old Chet Evans.

According to DINT, Evans was found with about 3.5 grams of suspected fentanyl, a glass pipe containing methamphetamine residue, brass knuckles, and an expandable baton. He is currently on felony probation and has multiple prior felony convictions.

Evans was booked into the Douglas County Jail on charges of unlawful possession of controlled substances and two counts of felon in possession of a restricted weapon. He also faces a probation detainer from Lane County. Jail records confirm Evans remains in custody as of Nov. 6.

DINT is a regional drug enforcement task force that targets drug trafficking operations, supported by the Oregon-Idaho High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area program and the Douglas County Board of Commissioners.
