Douglas County Joins Operation Green Light to Honor Veterans

The Douglas County Board of Commissioners announced that the county will once again take part in Operation Green Light.

Throughout November, in honor of Veterans and Military Families Month, the front of the courthouse will glow green to show gratitude and support for veterans and their families. The commissioners are encouraging residents to join in by placing a green light on their porch or outdoor light fixture as a symbol of hope and appreciation.

Douglas County is participating alongside the National Association of Counties, the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers, and other local governments across the country to remind veterans that they are recognized and valued.
