High-Speed Chase Through Gaddis Park Ends in Arrest of Roseburg Man

ROSEBURG, Ore. — A late-night pursuit through Gaddis Park on Monday ended with the arrest of a Roseburg man after police say he attempted to flee on a dirt bike.

Around 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 17, officers tried to stop 49-year-old Joshua David Frazier, who was riding a RFZ 125cc dirt bike on the park’s bike path. Instead of pulling over, Frazier allegedly sped off, leading police on a high-speed chase through the park.

Officers briefly lost sight of him around a blind corner, but moments later found that Frazier had crashed near the walking bridge under I-5. He was detained without further issues.

Frazier reportedly told officers he saw the emergency lights and heard the siren but believed they were coming from the freeway—not directed at him.

During the arrest, police say they discovered approximately .32 grams of methamphetamine in his possession. Dispatch also confirmed an outstanding warrant for failure to appear on charges of criminal trespass II and unlawful possession of a Schedule II substance.

Frazier now faces additional charges related to the pursuit and drug possession.
