Major Drug Arrest in Roseburg Nets Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

A Roseburg man was arrested Monday following a major narcotics investigation that led to the seizure of fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) contacted 47-year-old Clinton Reed on October 7 in the 1400 block of Vine Street after receiving information linking him to the sale of illegal drugs. Investigators said Reed admitted to sending incriminating messages to law enforcement and to planning the sale of fentanyl.

A subsequent search of Reed’s backpack and residence revealed 48.3 grams of suspected fentanyl and 11 grams of suspected methamphetamine, along with packaging materials consistent with drug distribution.

Reed was taken into custody and booked on multiple charges, including unlawful delivery and possession of methamphetamine and unlawful delivery and possession of a Schedule II controlled substance.

The Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team—a collaborative task force supported by the Oregon-Idaho High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program—works to identify and disrupt drug trafficking operations across Douglas County through partnerships with local, state, and federal agencies.
