SHERIFF’S OFFICE SEEKING PUBLIC’S HELP LOCATING MISSING WOMAN

KQEN News Radio

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public as they attempt to locate 61-year-old Lori Sharman, who was reported missing at approximately 3:45 p.m. on Thursday, after family and friends were unable to reach her throughout the day.

A DCSO post said through the course of the investigation, deputies located video showing Sharman leaving her residence on foot Wednesday night at 11:55 p.m. She did not return and was last seen walking south on Carnes Road toward Castle Avenue in the Green District.

At the time she left, Sharman was wearing a maroon long-sleeved shirt with translucent sleeves, a black vest, cuffed blue jeans, and black and white sneakers. Sharman left her cell phone, wallet and credit/debit cards inside her residence.

DCSO said Sharman has a mental health diagnosis that may cause her to behave unpredictably. She reportedly walks with a limp.

Anyone who may have seen Sharman or who has information about her whereabouts is asked to contact DCSO at 440-4471. Residents and businesses in the surrounding area are also encouraged to check their surveillance camera footage and report any findings.

DRIVER TAKEN TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING EARLY MORNING TWO-VEHICLE CRASH

KQEN News Radio

One driver was taken to the hospital following an early morning two-vehicle crash on Thursday.

An Oregon State Police report said just after 5:20 a.m. emergency personnel responded to the wreck on Highway 138E at the intersection with Oak Creek Drive in the Glide area. A driver was turning left onto the highway when his vehicle was struck by a west bound vehicle. The second driver was initially entrapped in his vehicle. He was extricated and transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center. Troopers responded to the hospital to determine if the 26-year-old was under the influence of intoxicants. He was transferred to PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at RiverBend in Springfield where he was listed in fair condition at last check according to a hospital spokesperson.

A search warrant for the blood sample from Mercy was seized and submitted into evidence and sent to the OSP Crime Lab for testing. The driver was also found to be driving while suspended at the misdemeanor level. The investigation into DUII and DWS charges are pending follow-up.

All lanes of Highway 138E were closed for a time as personnel dealt with the crash scene. A significant traffic backup was reported.

EBRC Raceway Brings High-Energy RC Racing to Roseburg

The Roseburg Receiver

Roseburg has gained a brand-new destination for hobbyists, families, and racing enthusiasts with the opening of EBRC Raceway, a two-level indoor RC racing facility designed for both casual drivers and competitive racers.

Located on Diamond Lake Blvd, EBRC Raceway features a meticulously built 1/10th-scale off-road track, a spacious pit area, and a fully stocked pro shop offering parts, upgrades, and on-site support for newcomers and veterans alike. The track is already drawing attention across Douglas County for its size, layout, and the professional quality of its build.

“We wanted to create something Roseburg hasn’t had before - a place where people can race, connect, and have fun year-round,” the team behind EBRC Raceway shared. “It’s more than a track. It’s a community.”

To capture the spirit of the new track, the owners partnered with The Roseburg Plug, a local storytelling and small-business visibility project. A launch video produced by TRP showcases the full setup, the attention to detail behind the build, and the local energy surrounding the new space.

“Seeing a place like this open is exactly why we do what we do,” said Shane Hayes of The Roseburg Plug. “These are the kinds of projects that make a town feel alive — people taking a chance, building something from scratch, and giving families another way to spend time together.”
