New Holiday Inn Express Nearing Completion in Roseburg
A new Holiday Inn Express on Northwest Mulholland Drive in Roseburg is nearly complete. The 100-room hotel, featuring an indoor pool, is expected to open in January as part of the Hanna Heritage Place development, expanding Roseburg’s hospitality and retail offerings.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — A new Holiday Inn Express on Northwest Mulholland Drive is nearing completion and is expected to open early next year.
According to project developer Bruce Hanna, construction is on track to wrap up by the end of December, with an official opening planned for January. The hotel is a joint venture between Hanna Hospitality and Sycan Corporation and will be operated by Mereté, which shares ownership ties with Sycan.
The new Holiday Inn Express will include 100 guest rooms and an indoor pool. Planning began more than two years ago, with construction underway for roughly 14 months.
Hanna said the project is part of the broader Hanna Heritage Place development, a mixed-use area envisioned as a hub for retail, dining, and hospitality. He believes adding another nationally branded hotel will encourage more travelers to exit Interstate 5 and stay in Roseburg. The Hampton Inn and Suites, also located within Hanna Heritage Place, opened in April 2018.
The company continues to seek new tenants for the remaining space in the complex. The former Elmer’s Restaurant building, which closed in August 2024, has since been demolished to make room for future development.
