After 10 years in Roseburg, Oran Mor Artisan Mead has closed its Roseburg tasting room following the relocation of its production closer to Portland. The company says it is not closing and will continue operating at its new location.
ROSEBURG, Ore. — After a decade in Roseburg, Oran Mor Artisan Mead has closed its Roseburg tasting room following the relocation of its production operations closer to Portland.
The closure took effect at the end of 2025. In a message shared with the community at the time, the company cited circumstances beyond its control and emphasized that it was not closing the business, but rather transitioning operations to a new location.
The Roseburg tasting room operated under normal hours through December 31, with appointments available into January, marking the end of the company’s physical tasting room presence in the city.
Although the Roseburg location has closed, Oran Mor said its meads remain available locally through Secret Wine Society in Oakland, Oregon. The company also stated it would continue participating in festivals and distributing products to retail locations throughout the state, as well as hosting collaborative events.

Oran Mor has since established a new tasting room in Portland’s Sellwood neighborhood at 8011 SE 13th Avenue, where it is continuing operations and welcoming customers from across the region, including longtime Roseburg supporters.
Before closing its Roseburg location, the company hosted a “Last Hurrah” New Year’s Eve gathering on December 31, inviting local musicians, poets, singers, and artists to share music and memories in an open-mic style event as a farewell to the community.
In its announcement, Oran Mor thanked the Roseburg community for a decade of support and described the move as the beginning of a new chapter rather than a goodbye.
