A Roseburg man was arrested after police responded to a reported burglary at a vacant SE Pine Street home. Officers found extensive interior damage exceeding $1,000. The suspect was later located nearby and faces burglary and criminal mischief charges.
Portland Man Arrested in Roseburg After Stolen Vehicle Stop
A stolen vehicle stop in Roseburg on Jan. 6 led to the arrest of a Portland man after police reportedly found methamphetamine, multiple fictitious IDs, and equipment used to make false identification. Officers also discovered an outstanding probation violation warrant.

Road to Umpqua Hot Springs Closed Due to Winter Storm
Starting Jan. 6, 2026, NFSR 3401, the road to Umpqua Hot Springs, will close due to a winter storm. Vehicles must park at the gate. Visitors must hike, snowshoe, or ski the final 2.5 miles.
