ROSEBURG, Ore. — Drivers in Roseburg should expect moderate delays and heavier traffic on Northwest Stewart Parkway through October 20 as the city continues a road improvement and sidewalk ramp replacement project.

According to the City of Roseburg, the work zone extends from Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard to Northwest Renann Street. While construction is underway, businesses along both Garden Valley Boulevard and Stewart Parkway will remain open and accessible. The center turn lane will also remain available for drivers.

Sidewalks will be temporarily closed when crews are working on curb ramps. Overnight paving on Garden Valley Boulevard and Stewart Parkway is scheduled for mid-to-late October.

The project, overseen by the city’s Public Works Department, aims to improve roadway conditions and bring sidewalk ramps into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Once complete, Stewart Parkway will also feature new striping to provide a wider bike lane.
