Roseburg Man Arrested After Alleged BB Gun Robbery, Witness Tampering

ROSEBURG, Ore. — A Roseburg man was arrested Monday following an investigation into an alleged robbery involving a BB gun and subsequent contact with the victim, according to information released by the City of Roseburg.

Police identified the suspect as Michael Lawrence Singleton, 32, of Roseburg. The alleged victim was identified as Trinity May Rogers, 27, also of Roseburg.

The incident was reported at approximately 4:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2026, in the 900 block of NE Stephens Street, police said.

Investigators reported Singleton allegedly pointed a BB gun at Rogers, demanded her wallet, and struck her on the head with the gun. Officers noted the victim had injuries consistent with the reported events.

Police also reported Singleton later messaged Rogers apologizing and allegedly offered her fentanyl if she would tell officers he was not involved.

Singleton was arrested on the following charges:

  • Robbery in the First Degree
  • Unlawful Use of a Weapon
  • Tampering with a Witness

He was lodged at Douglas County Corrections, according to the report.
