ROSEBURG, Ore. - Monday is shaping up to be the hottest day of the year so far in Roseburg, with forecasters calling for a high of 83 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport.

According to the National Weather Service in Medford, the Umpqua Valley is expected to run nearly 20 degrees above normal for this time of year. Typical high temperatures in early April are between 63 and 64 degrees, but the region will remain unusually warm through at least Friday, staying around 10 degrees above normal each day.

The previous warmest day of the year was recorded on April 5th, when the high reached 78 degrees. While Monday’s forecast won’t break records, it will come close - the record high for April 14th in Roseburg is 88 degrees, set in 1947.
