Roseburg Warming Center Activated Saturday Night as Cold Weather Continues
The Roseburg Warming Center will be open Saturday night, Dec. 27, at St. Joseph’s Gymnasium. Check-in begins at 5:30 p.m. with overnight shelter, meals, and limited pet accommodations available.
The Roseburg Warming Center will be activated Saturday night, December 27, to provide a safe and warm place for community members during cold overnight temperatures.
The warming center will operate Saturday evening through Sunday morning, with check-in beginning at 5:30 p.m. and overnight shelter available until 6:30 a.m. Sunday. The facility will close at 8:00 a.m. after breakfast service.
The warming center is located at St. Joseph’s Gymnasium, 630 W. Stanton Street in Roseburg.
Operating Details
- Check-in: 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- Dinner: A warm meal will be served during check-in hours
- Overnight Hours: 9:00 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. (no entry or re-entry after 9:00 p.m.)
- Check-out & Breakfast: 6:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. (coffee, tea, and light breakfast provided)
On Tuesdays and Thursdays, St. Joseph’s Community Kitchen serves meals from 4:00–5:30 p.m. at the gymnasium. For guests who miss that meal window, UCAN will provide light snacks.
Additional Information
- Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis
- Transportation: Accessible via Umpqua Public Transit’s Green and Red lines; nearest stop is on Harvard Avenue between Stanton Street and Stewart Parkway
- Storage: Limited secure storage is available; guests may bring a small toiletry bag inside
- Pets: Pets are allowed but must be crated; limited crates available
- Parking: Available in the St. Joseph’s lot; sleeping in vehicles is not permitted
