Have something happening in Douglas County that the community should know about?
We accept press releases from businesses, nonprofits, schools, event organizers, government agencies, and community members.

We review submissions as time allows and may publish them on The Roseburg Receiver website and/or social media.


What You Can Submit

We welcome press releases and announcements including:

  • Community events and fundraisers
  • Business openings, updates, and milestones
  • Nonprofit announcements and volunteer needs
  • Public safety and community awareness updates
  • School news and local programs
  • Grand openings, ribbon cuttings, and special promotions
  • Community resources and public meetings

If it matters to Douglas County, feel free to send it.


To help us publish quickly, please include:

Who / What / When / Where / Why
Full event details (address, date, time, cost, age limits if any)
Contact name + phone/email for questions
Website or signup link (if applicable)
Photos or flyers (JPEG/PNG preferred)
Social media links (Facebook/Instagram, etc.)

If you have a preferred wording, send it exactly how you want it written.

You can attach:

  • Event flyers
  • Logos
  • Photos (high quality preferred)
  • PDF press releases

If you have multiple photos, feel free to send them all - we’ll choose the best ones.


Publishing Notes

  • Not every submission is guaranteed to be posted.
  • We may edit for clarity, spelling, formatting, and length.
  • If your release is time sensitive, send it early.
  • If something is urgent, put “URGENT” in the email subject line.
