Summer Meal Programs Announced for Roseburg Area Students
Summer meal sites announced for Roseburg kids: Lunchbox Express (June 23–Aug. 15) offers grab-n-go meals at various locations. School sites run July 1–30 with breakfast & lunch. Some sites require meals be eaten on site. Full schedule available.
The Roseburg School District has released details for its 2025 summer meal programs, ensuring that children across the community have access to free meals during the summer break.
Lunchbox Express Schedule (June 23 – August 15)
Running Mondays through Fridays from June 23 to August 15 (excluding July 4), the Lunchbox Express program will provide combined grab-n-go breakfast and lunch meals that do not need to be eaten on site. Meals will be distributed at the following locations and times:
- Faith Lutheran Church (820 West Kenwood St.): 10:45 – 11:00 a.m.
- Green Elementary School (4498 SW Carnes Rd.): 11:15 – 11:30 a.m.
- Thompson Park (1448 SE Thompson St.): 11:45 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Eastwood Park (2823 SE Douglas Ave.): 12:15 – 12:30 p.m.
- Creekside Family Church (731 Newton Creek Rd.): 1:00 – 1:15 p.m.
- Saddle Butte Mobile Manor (222 Saddle Butte Ln.): 1:30 – 1:45 p.m.
School Cafeteria Sites & Schedules (July 1 – July 30)
In addition to the Lunchbox Express, school cafeterias will serve breakfast and lunch Mondays through Thursdays from July 1 to July 30 (except July 4). Meals at elementary schools must be consumed on site.
- Participating elementary schools: Sunnyslope, Hucrest, Fir Grove, and Winchester.
- Breakfast: 8:00 – 8:15 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:30 – 11:45 a.m.
Joseph Lane Middle School & Roseburg High School
At these locations, students can pick up grab-n-go meals that do not need to be consumed on site.
- Breakfast: 8:00 – 8:15 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:30 – 11:45 a.m.
The summer meal program ensures that local children continue to have reliable access to nutritious meals while school is out of session.
