Oregon has activated its State Emergency Coordination Center as an atmospheric river is expected to bring heavy rain, flooding, and landslide risks across western Oregon, including Benton, Clackamas, Lane, Linn, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Tillamook, Washington, and Yamhill counties.

One Killed in Three Vehicle Crash on Highway 38 Near Scottsburg

A three vehicle crash on Highway 38 near milepost 22 left one person dead Tuesday evening. OSP says an eastbound Buick Enclave crossed into the westbound lane and hit a Freightliner before being struck by another car. The Enclave’s driver died at the scene. One person had minor injuries.

Oregon is now applying SNAP work rules statewide after federal waivers ended. Adults ages 18 to 64 without children under 14 may need to meet 80 hour monthly work requirements unless exempt. About 37,000 people are affected. ODHS urges anyone unsure about the rules to contact them.
