The Roseburg Receiver, founded less than two years ago, has grown to nearly 15,000 members - a remarkable feat considering that many similar groups with larger numbers have taken over a decade to reach their current size.

The Roseburg Receiver was launched with a simple goal: provide Douglas County residents with fast, accurate, and transparent updates about local emergencies. From fire and medical calls to police activity, airport alerts, weather, local news, and ham radio communications, the platform has become a real-time hub of critical information - all fueled by a passion for public safety and open communication.
The community started modestly, sharing fire tones and dispatch traffic during a particularly active wildfire season. Over time, it expanded with more automation, live voice-to-text transcriptions, keyword-based alerting, and an increasing number of radio feed integrations.
